V. M. Patil Krushi Pratishthan runs five colleges (design, pharmacy, agriculture, hospitality and law) from a single campus at Asangaon, Taluka Dahanu, District Palghar. It was founded for the children of this coast's farming, fishing and tribal families, and it still is.

Now teaching design at the Gurukul Shikshan Sankul.

The trust is founded

Milind Patil and Vikas Patil establish V. M. Patil Krushi Pratishthan for the education of poor and tribal children of the Dahanu coast.

Krishi Tantra Niketan opens

First college

Krishi Tantra Niketan opens

The agriculture polytechnic becomes the trust’s first institution, teaching a three-year Diploma in Agriculture affiliated to Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli.

Design teaching begins on campus under S.N.D.T. Women’s University, opening a professional route for women from the surrounding villages.

Beyond the classroom

A soil laboratory that has served 25,000 farmers

The trust’s community work runs alongside its teaching: a mobile soil and water testing lab, a nursery, polyhouse training, cold storage, and garment skills training for women in the surrounding villages.
